Stephanie + Tim had big, big plans to wed on the rooftop of the Chicago Loews downtown, but 2020 had other plans for them. But, for these two, postponing was never an option. First of all, they were eager to start their lives as husband and wife (they are PERFECT together), but their date, 10/17/20, is the groom’s late grandmother’s birthday AND Sweetest Day. It was destined to be their wedding day. So, they fast-tracked purchasing a home in Berwyn and pivoted to hosting their closest people in their backyard. It was seriously magical. Everyone pitched in, the bride got the floral arch of her dreams, and Stephanie + Tim were finally married. Congratulations to The Littles!
Read MoreAndrew + Jennifer were one of the hundreds of Chicago-area couples who had to rethink their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s been quite the whirlwind for the industry (and the freaking world), but these two made the best of it. They moved their wedding to the bride’s childhood home on Dayton Street, and absolutely everyone pitched in the make this wedding a reality. There was wind and rain the morning of their September wedding, and first thing, neighbors were out sweeping the cleaning the street — the afternoon’s ceremony location. The bride’s neighbor made her wedding dress. We snaked power cables from another neighbor’s home, and others were on traffic duty (and the neighborhood cops rolled by to help locate the owner of a car parked on what would be the aisle…!) Our team was so lucky to have an incredibly hands on and knowledgeable MOB. Susie, you rule! She worked tirelessly to make sure vendors and guests alike were comfortable, especially amidst the pandemic. This was a really, really special wedding and it was an honor to be part of it.
Read MoreOh, man. How is it possible that P + D tied the knot a year ago?! 365 days ago, my family and I were in Sonoma County, CA, celebrating my brother’s marriage to his perfect lady. Our family grew under perfect sunny skies and through many, many happy tears. Parker is brilliant, kind, joyful, intense, and warm. Diana is calm, observant, sincere, and just plain wonderful. They met in San Francisco after college, (even though they graduated from Cornell the same year) and have been inseparable since. They have traveled the world together and have such a zest for all things outdoors. It was appropriate, then, that they get married under crystal clear skies outside of San Francisco at Olympia’s Valley Estate in Petaluma, CA right on the cusp of fall. The ceremony was moving, food delicious, speeches meaningful, and dancing fun. It was the perfect capture of their love — joyful and fun. What a pleasure it was to work with my brother and new sister-in-law, and I am so grateful for the memories we have yet to form. I love you both!
