Stephanie + Tim: Meaningful, Cozy, Backyard Chicago Wedding
Stephanie + Tim had big, big plans to wed on the rooftop of the Chicago Loews downtown, but 2020 had other plans for them. But, for these two, postponing was never an option. First of all, they were eager to start their lives as husband and wife (they are PERFECT together), but their date, 10/17/20, is the groom’s late grandmother’s birthday AND Sweetest Day. It was destined to be their wedding day. So, they fast-tracked purchasing a home in Berwyn and pivoted to hosting their closest people in their backyard. It was seriously magical. Everyone pitched in, the bride got the floral arch of her dreams, and Stephanie + Tim were finally married. Congratulations to The Littles!

The bride and her babes started the day at their new home, getting glammed up by the bride’s personal friends, 312 Glam by Mel and Keturah’s Vanity.
The rich colors of their wedding day were a dream to style, and Husar Photography nailed it. There were also so many sweet details, like Tim’s late grandmother’s hankie and cufflinks with the bride’s handwriting as a gift to the groom. Gorgeous floral by Phillip’s.
Speaking of floral, Stephanie’s wedding vision always included a lot of floral. Tim brings her flowers each week on “Fresh Flower Friday” (what a GEM), so they both knew that florals had to play a big role in their wedding. While everyone was getting ready, the Phillip’s team combated a really windy day to put up this spectacular floral arch… almost done!
Tim got ready in their finished basement with his friends and sisters and donned his custom jacket by Wedding GPS and headed to a nearby park for their first look.
We loaded Stephanie into my car and took her to see her beau.
Such a gorgeous bride wearing her soon-to-be husband’s jacket on a chilly October day.
As everyone arrived to their home for the ceremony, the bride’s dad had organized a livestream with Lovestream, and everyone gathered in the living room to watch the sweet video he put together.
Ceremony set-up and ready to go!
The ceremony was officiated by the couples’ friend who introduced them years ago at a Cubs game. It was so, so special, and I may or may not have shed a tear watching these two commit their lives to one another.

Guests filed inside for the bride and groom’s first dance and parent dances while Cocina Fusion flipped the backyard for dinner.
I wish you all of the happiness in the world, Littles!
