Shanna + Andrew have a lightness and laughter in their relationship that is just infectious. It was such an honor to plan their wedding alongside them – can’t believe it’s been a year! They had big dreams when it came to their wedding, and Chicago’s Field Museum was the perfect backdrop for their elegant evening. We worked together for the better part of the year bringing their gorgeous white, green, and blue vision to life, thanks to the brilliant Kehoe Designs. The result was a lush, grand, yet inviting summer Chicago day for these lovebirds. You have to see the incredible ceremony site and dinner in the Field Museum is pure magic!! Huge thank you to Tim Tab for capturing their day so beautifully.

The bride started off the day in the Founders Room at the Field Museum, and what a relief it was to not have to travel around the city on her wedding day! The groom and his party got ready at their Lincoln Park home and traveled over to the Field for a gorgeous first look with his bride.

Shanna + Andrew shared their first look on the grand northern steps of the Field Museum. This space really speaks for itself. The couple took some more time for themselves in the surrounding gardens for a romantic photo session after their first look. What a perfect Chicago summer day!!

Meanwhile, Kehoe, Blue Plate, and the OFW team put the finishing touches of their stunning ceremony and cocktail hour with a view of the iconic Lakeshore Drive and Lake Michigan. Shanna’s sister officiated their ceremony and it was the perfect way to kick off a perfect wedding celebration.

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple snuck into the Museum for some alone time and some incredible photos with Tim, highlighting the uniqueness and grandeur of Stanley Field Hall.

And just like that, it’s time for dinner! I absolutely looooooved the mirror tables, silver chairs, and bar set-up that we dreamed up with Kehoe. Beyond gorgeous!

Dinner was filled with meaningful speeches, lovely dances, and so much laughter.

Once DJ Matt Roan took control of the dance floor, it was a fabulous dance floor, complete with fatheads of the bride and groom’s beloved golden retriever, Oscar.
