If there was ever a true testament to true love it is Pria and Chris. Not only are Pria + Chris high school sweethearts but they are middle school sweethearts as well! They started dating in the 7th grade and have been together for more than half of their lives. After graduating from Walter Payton Prep in the city, Pria headed to UCLA and Chris went to Vanderbilt. After college, Chris went into the Marines and Pria stayed in California to get her PhD. The two wed on a perfect crisp October day full of sunshine and blue skies.

The day started at Pria’s parent's home, on the north side of the city, where the ladies gathered. They walked to their local salon, Via Rose, right down the street from their home. As the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done, the gents gathered at the Marriott Magnificent Mile Downtown. The ladies returned to Pria’s parent's house to get dressed and put on the final touches.

Both wedding parties headed to Theater on the Lake for the first looks. First up was Pria with her dad. Then came the first look with Chris! The couple opted to take advantage of the beautiful weather and have their family and wedding party photos taken outside before their ceremony.

The ceremony was held inside Theater on the Lake’s beautiful space. There was so much personalization that went into their ceremony. Chris wore his Marine uniform, and Pria’s uncle officiated. Not only did the ceremony incorporate both Hindu and Christian elements, but the couple also tied in Chris’s marine participation with a sword ceremony during the processional.

Guests transitioned to cocktail hour outside and had the fun surprise of the Chicago Fire Department wishing the couple all the best with a water arch out in Lake Michigan.

As the sun set, guests transitioned back inside to get the party started. The personalization continued with the sweetest parent speeches, the cake being cut with Chris’s sword, and a Bollywood dance performed by Pria’s sister and family members. It was such a fun and special night!
