Lisette + Carlos: Loving and Sentimental Chicago Wedding

We had the fortunate opportunity to partner with Wish Upon a Wedding to plan Carlos and Lisette’s special day. Wish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit organization that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering health circumstances. Wedding industry professionals donate their services and time to create an unforgettable day.

Lisette was diagnosed with a rare form of jaw cancer a few years ago. This came as a complete shock. With this news, Lisette and Carlos decided they wanted to celebrate their love with their two children, Carlos Jr, and Sofia, along with 50 of their closest family friends. It was a beautiful day and such a great way to celebrate the love these two share for one another and their family!

Lisette’s day started off at Hotel Allegro where Elana Darrus provided hair and makeup services for the special day. Louie A photography and Highway61 Films met us there to capture some gorgeous dress shots and those fun getting-ready details.

After Elana worked her magic, we headed to Assumption Catholic Church where the priest from their local church performed a beautiful vowel renewal ceremony. Both Carlos Jr and Sofia were in the wedding party, along with a few special family members.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to RPM events for the reception. As guests entered, they were directed to RPM’s west ballroom which is located right on the Chicago River with panoramic photo opportunities. Lisette and Carlos took advantage of the stunning cityscape even though it was a snowy March Day.

Before dinner, Lisette changed into her second outfit and the couple had a private second first look before they headed into their reception. DJ Diego Trujillo from Be Loud! DJ’s had everyone on their feet as Lisette, Carlos, Carlos Jr, and Sofia entered RPM’s space. Atmosphere Event’s Group provided floral and décor which complimented the space perfectly.
