Emma and Austin were an absolute pleasure to plan with—they are so full of kindness and a special kind of bubbly joy. They deeply care for and respect one another, and witnessing their connection shine on their wedding day was truly an honor. Their wedding last July was incredibly special, and I’m so thrilled to share it with you! They hosted their gorgeous celebration at the Chicago Athletic Association, infusing the historic venue with modern design elements. We worked with the brilliant Kelly Marie at Fleur to bring their pink-hued dreams to life—it was pure magic! In that beautiful setting, Emma and Austin shared a meaningful ceremony (not a dry eye in the room!) and hosted an incredible reception, complete with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and a very fun dance floor. I can’t believe it’s already been almost a year—what a joy to relive it!

The bride started her day with her best friends in a gorgeous suite with hair & makeup provided by the talented Megan Michel and Joey Claeyssen . The bride was absolutely glowing and had a fun toast before getting dressed. Once in her gown, the smile never left her face! Surrounded by her favorite people (clad in pink!), she took a few breaths before seeing her future husband.

Emma + Austin shared their first look in Lurie Garden across the street. What a perfect Chicago summer day for the sweetest couple.

The couple and wedding party hopped on a bus with Katy and took some iconic wedding party shots outside of Gibson’s Italia. I meannnn could the weather have been more perfect?!

Meanwhile, Fleur, CAA and the OFW team put the finishing touches of their stunning ceremony in CAA’s Madison Ballroom. It is elegant yet cozy and the flowers were so lush and beautiful. Emma’s MOH’s father officiated their ceremony and it was a meaningful way to kick off a perfect wedding celebration.

After cocktail hour, we moved into the Windy City Ballroom for dinner. The room was everything we dreamed it would be! Dinner was filled with meaningful speeches, lovely dances, and so much laughter. An espresso martini ice luge was a fun final touch!

I was extremely lucky to work with them on their initial design concept and it really was just perfect. Some snaps of their mood board below! (PS learn more about our design process here!)

After the dinner, the couple snuck out for a private cake cutting, a fabulous costume change and some photos at Cindy’s Rooftop. They joined their guests back in the ballroom for some fireworks at Navy Pier. What a way to close out the evening!
