Kelcy + Matt: Bold, Modern, Creative Chicago Wedding

Kelcy + Matt’s wedding was dynamite. Not only do they deeply care for each other and their guests, but that fierce love paired with their incredible sense of design and a desire to push the limits of traditional wedding decor made their entire September wedding day sing. I worked with the couple from the beginning of their planning process, after they booked The Lakewood for their venue -- a clean, crisp, modern, blank slate ripe for splashes of color. Once we started talking design, I knew we were going to have some FUN. Victoria at Atmosphere Events Group ended up being a spectacular partner to bring Kelcy + Matt’s vision to life. We worked as a team to synthesize the couple’s desire for non-floral elements, bright colors, color groupings, black accents, and unique shapes. Victoria nailed it, and the couple was able to share their appreciation with her directly during their reception room reveal! What a great moment. Congratulations to Kelcy + Matt!

The couple’s first look was pure magic. They peeked into Eden and set their first look in front of their beautiful succulent wall.

The couple took their chic wedding party to downtown Chicago for some amazing, colorful shots.

This couple took one of their engagement shots at this beautiful pixel wall (that served as the color inspiration for the wedding!), and so they went back on their wedding day. I love the side-by-side of these images!

They headed back to the Lakewood for a moving ceremony, officiated by the bride’s BIL, Ben. UM, can we also talk about the decor by Atmosphere Events Group?!
